Shell Zone DEX-COOL 50/50 Antifreeze/Coolant

Shell Zone DEX-COOL 50/50 Antifreeze/Coolant (SHELDEX50) is a ready-to-use, pre-diluted ethylene glycol coolant with an extended-life carboxylate inhibitor system. It is formulated for automotive gasoline and diesel engines as well as many heavy-duty applications that do not require nitrite.

It provides freeze protection to about -34°F and boil-over protection to about 265°F (with a 15-psi cap). Typical service life is up to 5 years or 150,000 miles in automotive use, and longer in qualifying heavy-duty service. The silicate-free formula offers strong corrosion protection for aluminum, brass, copper, solder, steel, and cast iron, and meets GM DEX-COOL / GM6277M requirements along with related OEM and ASTM specs.

Pour it in—no mixing needed for initial fill or top-off. Compatible with many conventional coolants for short-term mixing, though a complete flush is best when changing coolant types. Always confirm vehicle manufacturer recommendations before use.
