If you are a fan of sprint cars like us, you will remember Mark Kinser. Mark was one of our favorite drivers on the World of Outlaws tour. Not only was he super talented on the track, he was a super nice guy to boot! Mark always had a massive smile on his face.
These photos are from a WoO race at Lernerville in 1990. We happened to catch a quick pick-up game of hoops between Mark and Dale Blaney. Many of you know that Dale was a 4th round draft pick with the LA Lakers back in 1994 before he decided to go racing full time.
Mark played a little trick on Dale, hence the sneaky grin on his face.
If you are not familiar with the name Mark Kinser, he is a retired sprint car driver hailing from Indiana. Steve Kinser is Mark's cousin. Mark won the 1996 and 1999 World of Outlaws championship and was runner-up in 1991, 1998, and 2001. Mark is also the 1996, 1999 and 2000 Knoxville Nationals champion as well the winner of the 2001 King's Royal at Eldora.
